DRASA Support
KCOBANA Supports the Dr. Ameyo Stella Adadavoh (DRASA) Trust.
It started with a flyer that was received at one of KCOBANA’s WhatsApp groups. The flyer, which was a public shareware item, informed that DRASA is raising funds for an IPC simulation facility. Some members viewed this as an opportunity to support a real, and very rare, Nigerian hero. Upon reviewing the organization, it was noted that Yemi Johnson (KCOB, and active member of KCOBANA healthcare group) is on the board, along with other individuals of high repute. Accordingly, it was felt that KCOBANA couldn’t ask for a better cause to support. Members saw it as an opportunity to give back.
The ensuing fundraising drive was spearheaded by Ade Dosunmu. It lasted 2-3 weeks and, at its end, KCOBANA members had contributed the significant sum of $12,000 unrestricted DRASA funds. The monies have since been transferred to DRASA whose Managing Director, Niniola Williams thanked KCOBANA and gave an overview of DRASA’s mission and activities at KCOBANA’s virtual Annual General Meeting in September, 2020.
